I LOVE my Lyla! She is so cute and I can't take enough pictures of her. We got wonderful Easter gifts from the Grandparents! The Lindstrom Grandparents sent candy, cards and a book. Lyla loves to read and I love candy. :-) The Ward Grandparents sent Lyla two easter dresses because they couldn't decided which one to get for her. She loves them both and might want yellow to be her new favorite color. She gets so excited when you put a dress on her. It's almost as if she knows how cute she is going to be.

Today was great! The sun was shinning all day and there was hardly any wind. To say that there
wasn't much wind in Moscow is amazing!
It's always windy here! We went to a Spring Carnival this
afternoon and had so much fun. It was fun to be with people
from our Ward and to sit in the sun shine. Lyla had on lots of sun screen and her sun hat to keep her from getting burned. I got a little sun, but it's not too bad. We were having so much fun eating, talking with friends, swinging and letting Lyla watch all the kids play that we m
issed our afternoon nap. Lyla didn't mind one bit. She was still happy and wanted to keep playing.

Today was one of those perfect spring days. Scott is really busy studying for finals, but we got to see him for a little bit. Today just made us more excited for summer!

19 Days until we move to Boise!!!

I am always writing about how wonderful Lyla is on our blog, but I thought I would take a minute to write about how proud I am of my husband. He is just finishing up his 2nd year of Law School and getting ready for his internship this summer with the Boise City Attorney. He is so disciplined in his studies and works so hard in school. He has been doing amazing in school. Scott is on Law Review for the school this year and next year. For the paper this year he has been editing papers and had to write and submit a paper to possible be publish. Well, Scott's paper is being published in the next edition. "Woo Hoo!!" To add to the wonderful news of being published he also received the schools award for the BEST PAPER!! "Way to go Scott!!" Lyla and I are very proud of our Husband and Daddy. We are so blessed to have him. "WE LOVE YOU!!"
(This is the best picture I could get of his award, I couldn't figure out how to turn the flash off)

Conference was so amazing! We are so blessed to have a living Prophet! Lyla naps were timed perfect for conference, she was a sleep except for the last 30 mins of each session. :-) I love Conference Sunday!! We took Lyla to a park near our place in between sessions, but it got cold really fast so we didn't stay long.

Lyla loved the swing! Scott's bum was black after going down the slide, but it was worth it. ;-)

Lyla is so full of energy and wants to get her hands into everything! She is learning more about this world everyday. If she can get her hands on it, it will go into her mouth. She is getting wiggly and acting like she wants to crawl...if only we could keep her on her tummy long enough. She loves to roll over. We are working hard everyday to get her crawling. :-) The other day we took these funny pictures and I wanted to share!!

Lyla is 8 months old!! She is changing so much everyday! She loves to play hide and seek and screams with joy when she finds you. If she sees something she really wants (like daddy's computer or cell phone) she will launch herself towards it. She is growing and learning more everyday. Sometimes it feels like she was just born and other times it feels like she's always been here. She has brought so many blessings to our family! We love you Lyla!!

SWIMMING!!!! Italic We took Lyla swimming for the first time and she LOVED it!!! Even when we were putting her in her swim suit for the first time she was getting excited. The pool at the hotel was amazing and perfect for a first time swimmer. On one side of the pool the water was only 6 inches deep so she could stand and sit in it. She was splashing and trying to put her face in the water. Even when we took her into the deep end she was happy and kicking her legs like crazy. I hope she gets the Lindstrom swimming and the Ward(Duckworth) floating. It was so much fun. Grandpa Ward kept telling Lyla the swimming pool was at his house, hoping that telling her the pool was his she would like him better. :-) The only down side to swimming is that she didn't really like her bath's for a couple of days. I can't wait until we get to take her swimming again.

I have been working on these spring break posts and I broke them into section because so much fun stuff happened. My parents came up the second half of the week. They had a scary drive into town, but they were safe. It was great to see them. They both needed their hair cut and mom needed her hair colored (it had been about 3 months, so my dad was looking kinda shaggy). So making Lyla's grandparents beautiful was our first task. :-) By the time my parents got there Lyla was use to people getting all excited to see her. Grandpa Ward still thinks she doesn't like him, but she can sense his fear. ;-) It was nice to show more of Boise to my parents. We went to the Boise City History Museum and learned a lot about Idaho. (My mom thinks you must always check out the history sights when you visit a place. She always follows brown signs.) Lyla had fun for the most part, but was getting kind of tired. We sat her on this saddle and she loved it. We might have to do horse back riding lessons someday.
Grandma Ward brought up some AMAZING hair things that Auntie Meggie made for Lyla. They are perfect for all of her new outfits. Lyla also got really good at taking a nap anywhere. Which helped a lot with the time changes and the running all over town.
We had so much fun with Grandpa and Grandma Ward and we are excited to be moving closer to them and to be making lots of trips down to Utah this summer!
