Memorial Weekend

Cabin Fun...
We went to Lyla's Lindstrom Grandparents cabin Friday and had so much fun.
We love being there and going on adventures.
(Plus camping and being able to use a flushing toilet is the best!)

Here is a little bit about how much fun we had.  Lyla is good in the car for the most part as long as she has toys and treats. She was having so much fun with her puzzle and then took a nap. Scott and I took a walk in the trees and meadow close by. Lyla loves to follow her Grandpa Lindstrom around and 'help' him. Lyla loved this big bear at the cabin and was wrestling it. Lyla taking a nap with her Daddy. Eating breakfast! Going on a Hike with her Daddy. Lyla had to have a walking stick just like Scott. Holding hands with her Grandparents.  WE LOVE THE CABIN!  We can't wait until this summer when we get to spend time there with the cousins and Aunt and Uncles.

Today we took our little BBQ to the park and had hamburgers. We rode our bikes over and forgot a few things so Scott had to ride back and get them. It was quite an adventure, but lots of fun.

Have you ever seen a kid who loves tomatoes this much?

I love this little girl!!!

Lots of Fun!

Ice cream in the park.  Lyla ate almost the whole thing.
I had decided we should eat them at a park so that I would haven't to clean up any messes.
She loves ice cream!

Lyla loves to swing on swings with her Daddy!

Living in Boise is the best!  We love to be outside and go to all of the parks.
Scott and I thought that we should become a bike riding family.  So we found me a bike (after 4 days of searching) and found a bike trailer for Lyla to ride in on Craigslist.
We all got helmets...I am a big believer in wearing helmets!!
Lyla LOVES her helmet.  I was afraid she wouldn't want to wear it,
but whenever she sees it she wants to put it on and go for a ride.
We love riding around Boise on the greenbelt, that happens to be really close to our house.

Trip to Utah

Lyla and I took a plane ride to Utah to visit my family and to give Scott time to figure out his Bar review/study schedule.  My Dad had surgery on his Left foot the day we got there. Hopefully the 13 rods, screws and bolts they put in this foot will help his foot heal. It was nice to be there to help them as much as possible.  Also my sister Sara was in town for her best friend Kylee's wedding and we wanted to see her.  In three months she will be finished with her nanny job in Boston and back in Utah.

My sister Meg and her husband are foster parents and just before we got there they had a new little guy named Kaysen.  He is almost 3 and super sweet.  Lyla and Kaysen loved riding the the wagon while we were in downtown.  Lyla, Kaysen and D got a long great!  Cousins are the BEST!!

We took Sara to City Creek to see what all the fuss was about.  D' remembered the water and couldn't wait to get in.  He was soaked in about 30 seconds.  Lyla and Kaysen were a little hesitant, but finally got in.

A couple of weeks ago we also took our little boat to the pond by our place.
The water was still pretty cold, but we went at the perfect time...no one was there.
Lyla had fun looking at all of the bird and making duck noises.

My Mother's Day was great this year!  Scott always makes me feel so special and loved.  This year I got a swim pass to all of the Boise City pools for Lyla and I!  There are 15 pools I get to go to. I am so so so so so excited!  We are going to go swimming everyday.  By the end of this summer Lyla will be a swimmer!

We also got really good news two weeks ago.  Scott was offered a job with a Law Firm in Burley Id and we said yes.  It's been a long hard road applying for jobs, going to interviews and waiting to hear back.  We feel so blessed getting this job.  I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us and that we must remember to be patient and have faith in Him.  I feel so blessed to have the Gospel in my life.  I love my family and I am so glad I am sealed to them for Eternity.

More pictures and stories of our fun soon!

Graduation Day!

On May 2, 2012 my AMAZING husband took his last final of law school in the morning
and graduated later that evening.  The last three years of our life going through law school have been
such a wonderful growing experience.

We had a party for Scott before the ceremony. He decided he wanted ribs for dinner and also taught our nephew D' how to eat them. Such a great uncle!

Us before the ceremony.

Grandpa Zobell graduated from the University of Idaho in the 1940s (sorry don't know which year).  Grandpa Zobell is really excited to have a grand-kid graduate from the Uof I. He loves the school and always has stories about his time there. He really likes that Lyla was born in Moscow.

Grandma and Grandpa Lindstrom.  We were so excited they could come see Scott graduate. We could never thank them enough for their love and support.

My family came up from Utah and we had so much fun with them here (more on that in a future post)
I kept asking D' if he was going to go to law school and he kept saying. "No, I'm going to go to kindergarten."  He is such a funny kid.

Lyla and I are so proud of Scott.  He is such an amazing Husband and Father.  We always come first and he makes sure that we are happy and loved.  Scott decided when he first started school that he would always be home in time for dinner.  Even if that meant he would have to go back to school or even stay up later.  He has kept that goal.  I feel so blessed to have him.
I also have to thank Scott for doing the graduation ceremony.  He didn't really want to do it, but he did it for me and the parents.  It was a great night with all the family being there supporting us.
