Easter weekend

BYU Spring FB game, Molly's baby blessing, Easter Bunny, trip to New Mexico and back to Burley!

BYU Spring Football Game. 

 Scott and I decided we would take Lyla and D to the spring game. Scott is trying to get D to like the Cougars instead of the Ducks. We all got new BYU shirts. We had so much fun.  D' liked seeing all of the big football players. The best part was eating at RED ROBIN!!! :-)

EASTER BUNNY!!!

Lyla talked about going to Guy Wards (that is what she calls my mom now)

 house and seeing the Easter Bunny.

We are so glad the Easter Bunny came to visit us. D couldn't wait to give him a hug.

Lyla wanted the Easter Bunny to help her find the eggs. Lyla also had a lot of help from cousin Jayelle.

Baby Molly was blessed this morning. We are so excited we got to come down and see her.

Meggie and D came back to Burley with us to see our new house.

We went for Ice Cream, watched movies and Meg shut her finger in the door. ;-) 

(Her finger is okay, but she will lose her nail)

ROAD TRIP TO ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO

Stopping for lunch just outside of Moab.

We finally made it to Meggie's house.

We went to the really cool park by there house.

It had lots of crazy, fun toys to play on.

Lyla had fun on the tire swing with Aunt Meggie and D.

Lyla loved her bubble bath in Aunt Meggie's huge tub.

We went down town to visit this cool place called EXPLORA.

The kids LOVED it and had so much fun.

I have been to discovery centers in Boise and Salt Lake, but this one was the best!

We played with water, blocks, learned about wind, built things with pipes, 

flew airplanes and made big bubbles.

D' had his first soccer game. He was so excited!

We went to OLD TOWN and had so much fun.

There were lots of neat shops.

We had to stop a lot on our walks to tie D' shoes.

Every time we stopped Lyla would pretend to tie her shoe too.

Lyla and D' had so much fun together.

They get along so well.

BACK TO BURLEY!

We brought D' back to our house with us.

We had fun running around in our backyard and painting.

BEST FRIENDS!

We had a fun, busy and crazy 2 weeks.

Excited for our next fun adventure!

Day 13

Today Lyla got her Valentine treat from me.

It was a little box of chocolates.

She would lick it out of her hand.

We had a pretty relaxed day because we are the Wolf Cub Den Leaders

 and I had ton of stuff to get ready for our activity that night.

Lyla loves the boys coming over. She talks about it all day.

 Day 14

Happy Valentine's Day!

This morning Lyla wasn't a happy camper. But by the afternoon she was her happy self.

Today Lyla got a new dress that I made.  It was quite an experiment, but I like how it turned out.

By that evening Lyla was ready to say cheese.

For dinner we had steak, salmon and potatoes.

For desert we had little cheese cakes I made into the shape of a heart.

This count down to Valentine's Day was really fun.

I think it will be something we do every year!

 Day 10

Today Lyla got two new shirts and a heart pillow. (I couldn't get a good picture with her with them)  I made the pillow out of left over fabric from her Flintstones Halloween costume.  We also went to church and Lyla stayed dry and went in the potty at church. :-)

Day 11

She is wearing one of her new shirts. Today we made Daddy a Valentine. She LOVES to paint. We have been working on colors and painting was a great way to talk about colors.




















We also made chocolate, peanut butter M&M cookies for daddy. He loves them.  While they were baking Lyla and Daddy sat on the stairs and waited.  Lyla thinks my Ipod is hers. :-)

Day 12

Today Lyla got to open a present.

It was 4 books.

One about snow, Baby Mickey's toys, Old McDonald and a little pig.

She loves to read and I get sick of reading the same books over and over.

Plus...I can only check out two books at a time at our Library for the next 3 months.

So more books at our house is a good thing.

We also made Moon sand.  Lyla had so much fun with it.
(4 cups flour and 1/2 cup baby oil)


Only two more days!!

 Day 9

We always have so much fun with Daddy on the weekends.

Today we watched him play church ball and after dinner we got ice cream.

Lyla loves to run around and 'play' basketball.

She also LOVES ice cream.

She talked about going all day.

 Day 8

 Today Lyla got a new skirt and head band.

I made it from the same butterfly material from her crib bedding.

She had to try it on right away.

Lyla also got to go on a date with her Daddy.
