I love the 4th of July! We spent the Holiday with my family in Utah. It's so nice to get in the car and only drive 5 hours instead of 12. :-) Lyla loves seeing her Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. We only got to see cousin D for a little bit, but she loves him the most. Lyla had lots of firsts this trip. She got to swim with Bella, ride a Merry-Go-Round, pet a pony and go to her first parade. She loved all of it, but I think her favorite might be Aunt Sara's HUGE box of gold fish. :-)

We had a fun Memorial Weekend with the Ward Family!!! It's crazy how big our family is now. Lyla loved seeing her Aunts and Uncles. She even loved seeing Grandma Nise and Grandpa. But she LOVED her cousin D the most!!! She would watch him run around. She would laugh when he was doing something funny or when he would tickle her. When we left she even gave him a hug. He went to hug her and she put her arms around his neck. It was so cute. We are so glad to have D as part of our family. It feels like he's been here all along.

Scott and I went on a little date to the Boise Penitentiary earlier this month. It was so cool. I know sounds like a weird place to have a date, but we are both into history so it was fun! It was neat to see the old buildings. It was raining which kinda added to the scary, spooky atmosphere.
Scott kept trying to scare me
(Which he only accomplished once and got in big trouble for.)
We got to dress up in jail attire.
My sign should have said something about me being short.

I thought this picture was really funny. Scott has such a serious face.
One of the guard station. The walls around the area were so cool looking.
Some of the cells were open and you could walk into them. I didn't want to get inside (too creepy) Scott did so we could get a picture. They were so small and smelled.
What a fun date! Exploring Boise is so much fun!!!

Well, we are in Boise now!! Scott bought Lyla and I a plane ticket to Boise for Mother's Day. It was SO nice not doing that evil drive by myself with Lyla. She LOVES to fly!!! She was jumping, laughing and talking to everyone on the plane. Scott and his brother Jason drove the car and the moving truck down and everything went well. Today we went on lots of walks outside just enjoying the sun (without the wind) and being together as a family. The 2nd year of Law School is over!!!! Now we get to relax a little and get ready for Scott's internship. Lyla loves being outside and is waving at everyone as they pass.
Lyla loves bouncing herself on the tramp.

Her first time seeing and being on REAL grass
(the grass at our last place was dead and gross)
I thought she might not like it, but she kept picking
at it and showing it to me.

We just let her get her feet wet in a pond
and she loved it! She is such a happy baby!

We are really excited to be in BOISE!!!

I LOVE my Lyla! She is so cute and I can't take enough pictures of her. We got wonderful Easter gifts from the Grandparents! The Lindstrom Grandparents sent candy, cards and a book. Lyla loves to read and I love candy. :-) The Ward Grandparents sent Lyla two easter dresses because they couldn't decided which one to get for her. She loves them both and might want yellow to be her new favorite color. She gets so excited when you put a dress on her. It's almost as if she knows how cute she is going to be.

Today was great! The sun was shinning all day and there was hardly any wind. To say that there
wasn't much wind in Moscow is amazing!
It's always windy here! We went to a Spring Carnival this
afternoon and had so much fun. It was fun to be with people
from our Ward and to sit in the sun shine. Lyla had on lots of sun screen and her sun hat to keep her from getting burned. I got a little sun, but it's not too bad. We were having so much fun eating, talking with friends, swinging and letting Lyla watch all the kids play that we m
issed our afternoon nap. Lyla didn't mind one bit. She was still happy and wanted to keep playing.

Today was one of those perfect spring days. Scott is really busy studying for finals, but we got to see him for a little bit. Today just made us more excited for summer!

19 Days until we move to Boise!!!

I am always writing about how wonderful Lyla is on our blog, but I thought I would take a minute to write about how proud I am of my husband. He is just finishing up his 2nd year of Law School and getting ready for his internship this summer with the Boise City Attorney. He is so disciplined in his studies and works so hard in school. He has been doing amazing in school. Scott is on Law Review for the school this year and next year. For the paper this year he has been editing papers and had to write and submit a paper to possible be publish. Well, Scott's paper is being published in the next edition. "Woo Hoo!!" To add to the wonderful news of being published he also received the schools award for the BEST PAPER!! "Way to go Scott!!" Lyla and I are very proud of our Husband and Daddy. We are so blessed to have him. "WE LOVE YOU!!"
(This is the best picture I could get of his award, I couldn't figure out how to turn the flash off)

Conference was so amazing! We are so blessed to have a living Prophet! Lyla naps were timed perfect for conference, she was a sleep except for the last 30 mins of each session. :-) I love Conference Sunday!! We took Lyla to a park near our place in between sessions, but it got cold really fast so we didn't stay long.

Lyla loved the swing! Scott's bum was black after going down the slide, but it was worth it. ;-)
