Lindstrom Family Reunion 2014
'There's no place like the Lindstom cabin'

Grandma and Papa Lindstrom
They always plan such fun things for us to do.
Lyla likes all of the little surprises they give her.

Uncle Matt, Aunt Chelle, James and Lizzie
Lyla calls them her 'cabin cousins' because she only sees them once a year at the cabin.
We love getting to see them and staying up all night talking.

Us in front of Alturas Lake

Jason and Jill
We are so excited for these two to get married this September.
They are so cute together.

Uncle Houston and Aunt Lindsey
Lindsey had so many fun little games to play with the kids.
It was nice having a nanny for a couple of days.
Lyla loves these two!

Friday morning we went to the hot springs close by.
Our little pool we had blocked off was gone and so we had to start over.

The Grandkids!
It always takes a little bit for the kids to remember they like the water.

Travis liked the water, but he fell asleep in my arms.

Lyla likes to find sticks and throw rocks at the springs.

Travis liked sitting on Grandma's lap.

Hanging out with Papa.

Going on a walk to find treasures by the ponds.
They mostly found pine cones and rocks, but James found a little egg.

So beautiful!

Little dude with Papa's hat.

Resting on the hammock.

'Helping' Grandma cut watermelon for dinner.

Hanging around the camp fire and roasting marshmallows.

Lyla wanted to make a s'more, but didn't want to eat it.
So I had her take one bite.

She didn't like it.

Swimming in the pool.

Having fun swimming with the cousins.

Brothers!

Fishing fun!

Sweet girls holding hands in their matching dresses.

Cousins!

Aunt Lindsey is the best!

Glow in the dark bowling is so much fun.
Thanks Aunt Lindsey.

Squirt gun fight

Papa is so good and helping Lyla catch a fish.
She wouldn't touch it.

My cute little family!

We had so much fun at the reunion.
Can't wait for next year to see everyone again.
A couple of days after the reunion Lyla woke up in the middle of the night crying and saying,
"This isn't my house anymore.  I live in the deep back woods in the cabin."
It took a while for me to calm her down and reassure her that we would be going back to the cabin soon.
I love all of these memories we are making with our family.

May 2014

At the beginning of this month went to the cabin.
We LOVE the cabin!
It was a quick trip, but so much fun!
It was Travis' first trip...he had a blow out diaper just before we got there.
So we ran him inside and sprayed him down in the sink. :-)

Scott's parents took us out on the snowmobiles.
Neither one of us had been yet and it was so much fun.
It was nice because it was warm out.

Lyla took a little ride with Papa

She loved it! Can you tell?

We had so much fun with Uncle Jason and Jill.

Lyla is always worried about the hot springs at first, but then she remembers how much fun it is.

Do you think Travis liked his first trip?
He kept laughing and kicking.

Relaxing on the deck

Lyla likes roasting marshmallows

I went target shooting for the first time!

Scott hasn't been in a while...we tied on closest to the bulls-eye. :-)

We LOVE the cabin!
Excited to go for the family reunion.

Happy Mother's Day to me!
I love the two so much!
I am so blessed to be their mom.

Travis has found his shadow.
He will sit there forever swinging his toys and watching the shadow.

Lyla loves her bike, but is sill learning how to peddle.

Happiest kid ever!
Travis' will only eat baby food if he gets to feed it to himself.

She loves her sand box.

Look at those blue eyes!

Finally got a real smile out of this cute girl!

We have been trying to stain our deck. It feels like it's taking forever.
We had to clean it really well, which probably hadn't been done in 10 years
and now its time to paint the stain.

1st swim in the back yard

We have had a great May...so far!

April 2014

We had some nice couple of days so we got our double stroller out.
Both of the kids love it!

Easter
Friday night we decorated eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide.

Lyla loves decorating eggs!

Travis now wants to be apart of everything and grabs at anything close by.

Saturday morning we went across the street for an egg hunt.  Lyla didn't like waiting for it to start and she only got 2 eggs.  But it was fun.

This is where Travis sits while we stain our deck.
He likes watching us and will sit there for a while.

Lyla was excited to set the eggs out for the bunny to hide while she was sleeping.

She loved everything from the bunny.

Had to wake Travis up so he could see his stuff and get ready for Church.

Lyla loves her train.

My cute kids!

Lyla had her own egg hunt after Church. She didn't have to hurry and took her time.
I love her Easter dress.
It was great talking to Lyla about our Savior and all the things he has done for us.
She now talks about all of her Grandmas and Grandpas that she will get to see someday.
I am so grateful for my Savior and the Plan of Salvation.

Travis loves the grass and tummy time.
He now knows how to go from his tummy to his back and is so close going back.

I thought this picture was so cute!
I love their shadows!

Earlier in April my parents came to visit us.

Travis tried rice cereal and doesn't really care for it or any other baby food I have given him.
But he does like mashed POTATOES.
He must be from IDAHO!

Lyla loves to comb Papa Wards hair.

She also loves her sandbox. If only it would stop raining so she could play in it more.

Travis loves to attack Lyla. If she is within arms reach of him he is lunging after her.
She likes it for now...unless he goes for her toys.

Travis turned 6 months at the end of April...his stats
29 inches tall
19 pounds
The Dr. said to Trav, "It's a good thing you are so tall  Buddy or you'd be a chunk"

April went by too fast....
