Lindstrom Family Reunion 2012

Scott's family had a reunion at his parents cabin last week. We all had so much fun. Scott could only stay for two days because he had to get back for work. (We are happy he has a job, but sad he couldn't stay longer)

All of us! Uncle Houston(Justin),Uncle Jason, us, cousin James, Uncle Matt, cousin Lizzie and Aunt Richelle

Lyla had fun getting to know her cousins. James liked being the big cousin and have Lyla follow him around. Grandma had surprises for them everyday and they had fun with their Uncles.

Going on adventures with Grandma and Grandpa.
Lyla had to learn how to share her Grandparents.
She also learned the word 'share'. She now says it whenever you have something she wants.

Checking out the ponds by the cabin.

I love roasting marshmallows! (Scott making a silly face)

We went to church in Stanley ID. The church building is used by a lot of different religions. It was a Lindstrom sacrament meeting...Justin and Jason help with the sacrament, Matt played the organ and I spoke.
It was a great experience. It's wonderful that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the same everywhere. I feel so blessed to have it in my life.

They Boys!!

The Girls!!!

Look at those cute Grand-kids!!!

                                           Lyla and cousin Lizzie

Lyla and James! They look like twins!!

Grandma took us to see some horses. The kids had fun picking grass and feeding them to the horses. Grandma named them George and Betsy.

When Lyla is a little older I want to put her in horse back riding lessons.

We went swimming in Grandmas little pool on the deck. The kids had so much fun. It was nice for us to put our feet in the cool water. Lizzie looks like she isn't enjoying it in this picture, but she LOVES water!!

There is a hot spring close to the cabin so we went one night. The kids LOVED it! Nice warm water and rocks to throw...what kid wouldn't be happy?!?!
James kept saying "I love it" and Lyla was kissing everyone.
Grandma and Grandpa both thought that they wouldn't get in the water...
well they ended up swimming in their cloths.
We had so much fun we went the next night too.

Our last full day at the cabin we went fishing and for rides on the canoe at Bull Trout Lake.

Lizzie waiting for her turn on the canoe. She is such a sweet baby. She looks like Lyla when she was that age (10 months).  She is so adventurous and wants to move so bad. She will be crawling in no time.

My amazing Lyla. She is so much fun!
Love her!!

James is super smart! Lyla loved hanging out with him! He is super cute and full of imagination. It's crazy how much they all look alike. They all look like LINDSTROMS!!

Uncle Jason building sand castles with the kids. He's so good with them. They love him!

We went fishing! We caught so many fish!
James caught his first fish with Grandpa's help.

Riding in the canoe. Grandpa did all the work!

We had a great week!!!!
I can't wait until next year!!!

Despicable Me Birthday Party!!!

We gave the kids Minion names. D' is Dave, Kaysen is Billy Boy and Lyla is Kevin.
The kids were so excited to dress up like minions. They look so cute!!!

The cake!! Behind the minion cupcakes is the moon. Written on the moon it says, 'That's what I'm talking about.' My sister Meggie made the cake and did an amazing job!!!

Meggie also painted this minion bowling set. Super cute right?? ;-)

The kids Squid Launchers. We didn't even put water in them and they still had a blast pretending to shoot squids at everyone.

Right before the party started we helped the kids make their own 'Unicorns.'
I think their 'unicorns' are their favorite thing from the party!

My brother made this bean bag toss! He is so talented! Even the bigger kids (adults) liked this game. ;-)

We had the kids eat their 'dinner' out of their dog bowls! They LOVED IT and still want to eat out of them.

For dinner we had PIZZA! The kids loved eating on the blanket and eating all together! They love getting to see each other!

Time for presents!!!
The kids got too many presents! Thank you to all of those who spoiled our kids!!

We all got D' a bike for his birthday...

Have you even seen a kid so happy?!?!
I LOVE MY NEPHEW D'!!!

The kids were so excited to blow out the candles! It took Uncle Ty a couple of tries to get them lit.

The party was amazing!
Best party ever!!!

Fun before the birthday party!

Lyla loves D'! I know I write that all the time, but it's the truth! She always wants to hold his hand and give him hugs. It's good to D' because when he is holding her hand he has to walk slower. ;-)

Lyla and Kaysen are both waiting for a kiss from the other. They get along great too. Kaysen and D' usually fight over who gets to hold her hand.

This girl is fearless!!! She ran right for this turkey and followed him around.

The kids loved this corn on the cob guy. It took a while to get all the kids together and facing forward.
This is the best we got.

Meggie and all the kids! She is such a great example of being a AWESOME MOM!!

Lyla loves sand! That's all she wants to do in the Ward Grandparents backyard!

Meg and the boys jumping on the tramp! The kids were so excited for their party we had to distract them with other activities. I will do a post soon about the party, but Lyla is now up from her nap and I should go entertain her!

Swimming for the last time in Boise

We have had so much fun this summer with our swim pass. We went at least twice a week. Lyla just liked going to eat treats. Some times I would have to drag her into the pool. But over all she really liked swimming. I am really excited to get her in swimming lessons next year.

Had to grab Lyla for a second to get a picture of the two of us.

Took Scott to the pool with us for our last time. He had fun watching Lyla play in the water. Lyla thought it was so funny to stand next to her Daddy and say 'cheese'. What a fun last day in Boise.

 5 Years

It's crazy to think that Scott and I have been married for five years! Time has just flown by! A lot has changed for us. Scott gradated from BYU. I graduated from Bon Losse. We moved to Moscow so Scott could go to law school at the University of Idaho. Added Lyla to our family just after our 3rd anniversary. Moved to Boise so Scott could finish up his last year of school. Scott graduated this last May. Next week Lyla will be 2 (Crazy!!!) and we are moving to Burley, ID for Scott's new job!

These last five years have been the BEST of my life! A little about our first date....We had gone to a BYU basketball game with all of Scott's roommates (pretty sure we won). After the game everyone had something to do except Scott and I so he asked me if I wanted to get something to eat. We ended up going to Carrabba's (which is a really nice Italian restaurant...in our BYU gear...didn't really dress up for that date). It was the best date of my life...I am not just saying that...it really was. We had so much fun talking and getting to know each other better.  I don't remember everything we talked about, but I do remember asking him at one point when we were going to get married. :-) I know...a little forward, but I think he thought I was joking. Scott and I got married 6 months later!!!

This is a picture someone took of us right after Scott had proposed to me in front of the Timpanogos Temple. He took me on this crazy scavenger hunt and told me it was a school project from one of his friends (He was at BYU...you never know what kind of crazy classes these people are taking).

I was so surprised! I didn't even say yes at first. I just hugged him.

Our wedding day came and went really fast! It was a perfect day! I had a reception in Utah in my parents beautiful backyard and one in Boise in the church Scott grew up going to, which was also very beautiful (picture below).

We went to the Oregon Coast for our honeymoon and had so much fun! I love the water and all the lighthouses. Hope we get to go back a visit soon!

My Husband is the greatest!
