Graduation Day!

On May 2, 2012 my AMAZING husband took his last final of law school in the morning
and graduated later that evening.  The last three years of our life going through law school have been
such a wonderful growing experience.

We had a party for Scott before the ceremony. He decided he wanted ribs for dinner and also taught our nephew D' how to eat them. Such a great uncle!

Us before the ceremony.

Grandpa Zobell graduated from the University of Idaho in the 1940s (sorry don't know which year).  Grandpa Zobell is really excited to have a grand-kid graduate from the Uof I. He loves the school and always has stories about his time there. He really likes that Lyla was born in Moscow.

Grandma and Grandpa Lindstrom.  We were so excited they could come see Scott graduate. We could never thank them enough for their love and support.

My family came up from Utah and we had so much fun with them here (more on that in a future post)
I kept asking D' if he was going to go to law school and he kept saying. "No, I'm going to go to kindergarten."  He is such a funny kid.

Lyla and I are so proud of Scott.  He is such an amazing Husband and Father.  We always come first and he makes sure that we are happy and loved.  Scott decided when he first started school that he would always be home in time for dinner.  Even if that meant he would have to go back to school or even stay up later.  He has kept that goal.  I feel so blessed to have him.
I also have to thank Scott for doing the graduation ceremony.  He didn't really want to do it, but he did it for me and the parents.  It was a great night with all the family being there supporting us.

More fun in Utah with the FAMILY!

I want to document this...I want my nephew D' to remember how cool his Mom is!
She let him eat ice cream while the rest of us had to eat real food.
He's so cute and so fun to take pictures of.

Shopping trips to make sure Grandma had all of our favorite treats. Lyla and D' loved their balloons and smarties.

We decided to have as much fun and do as many things are we could all in one day...
So 1st we went to the Discovery center at the Gateway...

Lyla played with the music.

D' dressed as a fireman.

Lyla loved the water and kept trying to drink it.

We built a cage for D' and let him break out of it like the Hulk.

Lyla on a swan. She kept quacking like a duck.

Lyla showing Grandpa how to play with magnets.

Lyla loved shopping in the little grocery store.  She kept running around grabbing everything and then she would put it all back.

The discovery center was AMAZING and if I lived it Utah Lyla and I would go at least once a week.  It had so many things to do and learn about.

We then went to City Creek.
It was so much fun and really neat to see all of the stores.
The weather was so nice we let the kids run through the water...fully dressed.
(again D' your Mom is pretty cool)

The kids had so much fun laughing and running through the water! Meggie was smart enough to bring extra cloths so D' had something to change into...but I didn't.  So Grandma bought Lyla a new outfit at a store near by. (Little does my Mom know that was my way of getting Lyla a new outfit) :-)

Next we went to Temple Square or as D' says, 'Square Temple' to see all of the flowers.

Lyla love D'and is always saying his name, laughing at whatever funny thing he is doing and always trying to hug him. I told her to give him a kiss in this picture and D' didn't want one.  It was so funny because she kept trying to give him a kiss.  He finally gave her one.

My parents!

Making wishes!

The Temple is always so pretty, but I think I like it best at spring time.  With all the flowers and the blue sky it was the perfect day to visit.  I feel so blessed to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.  I am grateful for the temple and all the blessing we receive there.  I am glad that I get to be with my family for eternity.

We had such at amazing day running around down town. It was a perfect day!

Easter with the Wards

We surprised my Mom on her birthday!  We made it with 15 minutes to spare. She was so excited to see us.  It had been about 4 months and she really missed me...what am I saying...she really missed LYLA! But look at how cute she is, how can you not miss her?

Lyla loves her cousin D.  She walks around saying his name all the time.  They had fun playing in the sand box with the new sand toys.

The EASTER BUNNY came to visit!  Uncle Tyler is the best!  Lyla ran right to him and gave him a huge hug.  She wasn't scared at all.

The Easter Bunny, Lyla and D.

Holding the Easter Bunny's hand while looking for Easter eggs.  The Easter Bunny hid about 50 eggs for D and Lyla to find, with help from Grandpa and Grandma Ward.

I love this picture!  Lyla wanted the Easter Bunny to help her the whole time.

D, Grandpa, Grandma, Lyla and Boompa.
We thought it was funny that D and Grandpa matched and in this picture they are glowing.

We had a really fun long weekend in the Utah.  More posts to come...because I take a TON of pictures.

Happy Easter!!!

We had so much fun over Easter Weekend! We went on an egg hunt in Grandma Lindstrom's neighborhood. Lyla wanted to get out of her stroller and get all of the eggs so I kept her strapped in. When I finally let her out she kept trying to get under the ribbon.

Every time she picked up an egg she would shake it and try to open it. After she collected all of her eggs she sat on her blanket and and started eating.

Decorating eggs at Grandma Lindstrom's house.

Easter Morning. Daddy was reading a book and doing the animal noises and Lyla couldn't stop laughing. She is so silly!

Pretty Lyla in her dress in Grandma's backyard. She loves to run around in the backyard picking up pine cones, bark pieces and smelling flowers.

Lyla loves her Grandpa Lindstrom! She was walking all around the backyard showing him things.

I scream...

YOU scream...

LYLA SCREAMS FOR ICE CREAM!!!

Lyla will eat pretty much anything we give her, but I think her favorite might be ice cream (2nd would be tomatoes). For family home evening this week we decided to try a new ice cream place in Boise called Delsa's. She is starting to be independent with eating and trying use her own fork and spoon. She does a pretty good job and we don't have too many messes.

Can't believe she is 20 months old!

The month of March has been really fun for
us so far. We had a really nice spring day and so we spent as much time outside as we could. Lyla loves the little slide in Grandma's backyard.

Lyla was having so much helping her Grandma water flowers and rake up leaves.

Pudding!!! :-)

Over Scott's last spring break (he only has little over month left of school) we went to Menan, ID to visit the Lindstrom Great-Grandparents.

Lyla does well in the car if she has treat and toys. We also went swimming and she didn't hesitate at all. She ran right to the edge to jump in with her Daddy. She was kicking and splashing the whole time.

We went to the Idaho Falls Temple. It's so pretty there!

Lyla with her Great-Grandparents. She loves them. She really likes to have Grandpa sit right next to her.

We are having so much fun and can't wait for Spring!
