SICK DAY










Lyla wasn't feeling very good. Nothing too bad just the cough with the runny nose. So we had a jammy day and lots of activities. Lyla loves playdough. I let her use my cookie cutters and I bought her the cheap version of playdough so I don't care if she mixes. I like her 'thinking face'. She sucks in her chin. It's so silly!

She loves to smile for the camera, but only when she wants to. She loves her little Lyla table and wont let anyone sit on any of her chairs.

Lyla likes to move things from one place to another so I got out some of our dried beans from our food storage and let her play with them. Now we have beans EVERYWHERE!!!

Lyla also likes her doll house. She adds lots of different little people to the family.

She has figured out her little bus, but she always sits on it backwards.

We went to the library on Tuesday! Lyla loves to take the books out of the bag and then put them back in.

We went outside just long enough to take her daddy to school. She is feeling much

better!!

Saturday Scott and I were helping clean our church (with help from Lyla) and on our way home I decided to get Lyla a kids meal from Burger King. She loved it! She ate all of her food and LOVED her crown.

We found a new park by our house. Lyla loves going to parks! Boise is the city of parks! There are so many different parks here. The weather has been pretty nice out...much different from Moscow and Utah. Lyla loves to wear hats. This one is her new favorite. Her Daddy brought it back from one a his many trips to Peru.

Brushing Teeth

Lyla loves climbing up her step stool

and 'brushing' her teeth!

She also likes to make faces in the mirror!

Isn't she the cutest thing EVER?!?!?

Lyla is also going potty on her little frog potty everyday.

It's kinda hard to train a kid to go to the bathroom

when she doesn't talk. So I take her in about every 45 mins to sit. Her diapers are dry and she goes in her potty.

She gets really happy when she goes and runs to her room to get a sticker.

She's growing so fast!

She is such a lady...she even crosses her ankles while she sits on her potty! :-)

Helpful Lyla

Monday is my day for grocery shopping, laundry and deep cleaning my kitchen.

Lyla likes to help....

Lyla is really good at the grocery store. She smiles at everyone and talks and sings the whole time. When we get home I let her run around in front of our apartment while I carry bags up and down the stairs. This morning she decided to just sit, watch and eat her Cheetos.

Lyla also likes to help me carry in the bags, but she always wants to carry the milk. I try to give here something light like paper towels, but she just keeps trying to carry the milk.

After we get the kitchen clean we always sweep last. Lyla loves the broom and sings while she sweeps. She even trys to use the dust pan.

We also do laundry on Mondays. I don't really mind doing laundry because I have such a good helper. I have to be careful and recheck my whites before I wash them because she likes to mix up my piles. She doesn't 'help' much with the folding...so I usually wait until she is asleep or really distracted by something else.

Lyla likes to help me make the bed. Her Daddy likes to have pillow fights and tickle wars with her so that's what she wants to do while I try to make the bed.

I am so blessed to have my little helper.

Some Random fun!!

Lyla loves this Lama her Grandparents brought back from Lima, Peru.

It's really soft and she like to kiss it.

This is the new face she pulls. I think she's trying to bite on her new teeth.

Which I like a lot more than her grinding her front teeth.

I came into the room to find Lyla trying to find her belly button.

She is so silly!

On our way to the Library we stopped to see all of the geese by the Rose Garden.

Lyla was having fun chasing the birds until they all stopped, turned around

and starting chasing her.

She stopped laughing, turned and ran towards me.

It's funny now, but at the time I thought

I was going to have to fight some geese to save her.

We had so much fun with cousin D' at Chuck e' cheese that we thought we would

check out the one is Boise. We took this picture right after we danced for free tickets!

We sadly watched the Packers lose on Sunday,

but we will forever be Cheese Heads!

Ice Cream Date Night!

Lyla loved her Ice Cream!

She would open her mouth as big as she could!

Lyla has 4 teeth coming in right now.

We decided to let her eat some ice cream to help with the pain.

She is so much fun. She even sat on the chair like a big girl.

She is growing up so fast.

Andrew, Megan and D'marion were sealed in the

Salt Lake Temple.

A Forever Family!

Sara was everyone's Nanny for an hour during the sealing.

The day was so amazing!

I feel so blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel.

I felt Heavenly Fathers love for the Gordon family today.

God loves each of us more than we could ever understand.

The blessings we receive in the temple are beautiful and eternal.

We are so excited to have D' in our family forever!!
